Crocheting has been my passion since I was 12 years old. I learned how to embroider, knit, and quilt from my mother, but I soon discovered that my heart was set on crocheting. Over the years, I have created countless handmade items for my family and friends. I love to take my projects with me wherever I go, even when I'm in the car.

A few years ago, my daughter asked me to make her a Scrubby using leftover nylon net. I searched for a pattern on YouTube but didn't find anything I liked, so I developed my own pattern through trial and error. My daughter loved it so much that she asked me to make her one every month. Soon, my family and friends were asking for them too.

After some trial and errors, I discovered a special yarn made specifically for this purpose. I started making scrubbies with it and found that they were not only durable but also versatile. They could be used for cleaning dishes, pots and pans, sinks, bathtubs, and tiles.

Despite my initial reluctance to start selling my scrubbies, my family and friends encouraged me to turn my passion into a business. My grandson helped me set up a website, and today, I sell my handmade scrubbies on my own website.

Aside from making scrubbies, I also crochet ear warmers, hats, and scarves for people experiencing homelessness. This year, my goal is to create 500 hats and 24 scarves to donate. A portion of each sale goes to buying the yarn I use to create these items.
